A peel with AHAs — 10% lactic acid — combined with hyaluronic acid and soothing plant extracts. Fluid texture, evening application. Why lactic acid. It is the gentlest AHA of its family. Its molecule is larger than that of glycolic acid, so it penetrates more slowly — which reduces the risk of irritation at a comparable concentration. It also has a property the other AHAs lack: it is a humectant, holding water at the same time as it exfoliates. What a chemical exfoliation does. It loosens the bonds between dead surface cells, which then come away on their own. The result: more even skin texture, a more luminous complexion, and better penetration of whatever is applied next. No scrubbing, no rubbing. How to use it. In the evening on clean, dry skin, before your serum, once or twice a week — no more. Avoid the eye contour. Start with once a week and increase only if skin stays comfortable. The non-negotiable rule. Sun protection the following morning. AHAs increase sensitivity to sunlight: exfoliating without protecting amounts to manufacturing the very marks you were trying to soften. What not to combine it with on the same evening: retinoids, pure vitamin C, another exfoliant. Stacking actives does not multiply results, it multiplies irritation. What it does not do. It has no effect on deep marks or indented scars, which are a matter for a dermatologist. A passing tingle is normal; a burning sensation is not — rinse it off.
