A fresh gel combining several forms of hyaluronic acid with sodium PCA and organic aloe vera. COSMOS Natural certified. Non-sticky texture, immediate absorption. Why several molecular weights. High-molecular-weight forms stay at the surface and form a film that limits evaporation; shorter forms distribute through the surface layers. Combining them means working on two levels rather than one — an immediate smoothing effect, and water retention that holds for longer. Sodium PCA, less well known and very useful. It is part of what is called the natural moisturising factor, a set of molecules the skin makes itself to hold water in the outer layer. Supplying it through a product amounts to completing an existing mechanism rather than adding a foreign one. How to use it. Morning and evening after your toner, before your cream. A few drops are enough: pat rather than spread. Applied on skin that is still damp, it works markedly better — humectants need available water in order to capture it. As a course. On visibly dehydrated skin — dull complexion, fine lines that appeared all at once, tightness in the evening — it can be used on its own for one to two weeks, morning and evening, before going back to your usual routine. What it does not do. A humectant supplies no lipids: on dry skin, which lacks fats and not only water, it goes before a cream, never instead of one.
