A cold-pressed treatment oil from the seeds of Opuntia ficus-indica, harvested on the arid high plateaus of Algeria. Certified organic, unrefined, fragrance-free. A dry finish, unusual for an oil. Its profile is dominated by linoleic acid — 48.40% in our 2026 batch, analysed by GC-MS — alongside oleic acid (23.96%) and naturally abundant vitamin E: 137.61 mg/100 g, of which 90% gamma-tocopherol (CRAPC analysis report no. S14-01/2026, 30 July 2026). That is what lets it sink in quickly, without a greasy film — including on combination skin. An origin with a history. The prickly pear cactus is planted on the high plateaus to hold the soil in place, as part of Algeria's Green Dam. Our oil comes from small family plantations in those regions. Harvested by hand, fruit by fruit: it takes roughly a tonne of fruit for a litre of oil. Who it is for. Dry and mature skin first, for suppleness and comfort. Combination skin, applied locally on the dry areas. Well tolerated by sensitive skin: a single-ingredient formula. How to use it. Two to three drops, warmed between the palms then pressed onto the face. As the last step of your routine, after your cream — the order is what matters. Preferably in the evening; one drop in the morning on dry skin, before sun protection. What it does not do. An oil does not hydrate in the strict sense: it supplies lipids and limits evaporation. It completes a serum or a cream, it does not replace them — and it never replaces sun protection. Storage. Amber bottle, closed after use, away from light and heat.
