An oil serum with bakuchiol, combined with organic red fruit oils and jojoba oil. Ecocert COSMOS Organic certified — 99% of natural origin, 61% organic. What bakuchiol is, and is not. It is not a retinoid, despite the shorthand often used. It is a plant-derived molecule acting on partly comparable pathways, without belonging to the same chemical family. The distinction has a practical consequence: it does not generally bring on the uncomfortable phase associated with retinol. What the data says. The most-cited comparative trial reports effects close to those of retinol on the appearance of wrinkles, with better tolerance. The literature remains less abundant, however, and covers limited numbers of participants. It is a trade-off — tolerance against scientific track record — not a demonstrated superiority. Its most solid advantage: it is not described as photosensitising. It can therefore be used morning and evening, where retinol is kept for the evening.
