A silky face oil made from plant oils, enriched with vitamin E. The last step of a routine, or a few drops blended into your cream. What an oil does, and does not do. It supplies lipids and limits the evaporation of the water already present. It does not supply water: it is not a moisturiser in the strict sense. That is why it comes after a serum or a cream, never in their place. Applied first, it would get in the way of whatever follows. What vitamin E does. Two things. On the skin, it is an antioxidant that supports the defence against everyday oxidative stress. In the bottle, it contributes to the stability of the oil itself by slowing its oxidation. How to use it. Three drops warmed between the palms, pressed onto the face rather than spread — the oil distributes better and you use less of it. In the evening as the last step, or in the morning in a very small amount if skin is dry. Blended into your cream, it changes how rich that cream is without changing product. Its other uses. A drop on dry hair ends, on cuticles, on elbows. A well-formulated face oil has no reason to stay confined to the face. Storage. Away from light and heat, bottle firmly closed. An oil that takes on a sharp smell has oxidised and should no longer go on the face. What it does not do. It does not fill a wrinkle and it does not protect from the sun — no plant oil filters UV.
