Our Editorial Charter

Skin Academy · Resource

The commitments that guide each chapter of the Academy. They explain why we focus on appearance and comfort, and never on therapeutic promises.

Our Editorial Method

Every piece of content in the Skin Academy is created using a simple method: explain clearly, source thoroughly, and be cautious with promises. Our texts adopt a cosmetic and educational approach—skin appearance, comfort, hydration, visible radiance, and routine consistency. They do not replace medical advice, a dermatological diagnosis, or professional treatment.

Before publication, each chapter is reviewed according to five criteria:

  1. Clarity: understandable without unnecessarily technical vocabulary.
  2. Cosmetic accuracy: no therapeutic promises, no exaggerations.
  3. Usefulness: each page should help to better choose or adjust a routine.
  4. Sources: scientific and regulatory concepts linked to reliable references.
  5. Educational independence: the Academy explains before recommending a product.
Last editorial update: June 2026  ·  Editorial Manager: NOPAL LIFE — Skin Academy  ·  Editorial Board: cosmetic writing & NOPAL LIFE compliance review  ·  Framework: cosmetic, educational, and non-medical content.
Educate before selling
We explain first. A product is only mentioned when it is relevant to the topic discussed, never as a universal solution.
Cosmetic, not medical
Our content discusses appearance, comfort, hydration, and visible radiance. It does not provide diagnoses and does not replace dermatological advice.
Distinguish type, condition, and concern
Skin evolves. We always separate its nature (type), its current condition (state), and what is visible (concern), for accurate advice.
No over-promising
No guarantee of absolute results, no unrealistic promises. Individual tolerance always takes precedence over theory.
Transparency and respect
Clear language, serious sources, and respect for real skin rather than the pursuit of impossible perfection.
We prefer formulations such as "helps maintain hydration," "contributes to skin comfort," "helps improve the appearance of radiance." We avoid any medical, therapeutic, or guaranteed formulations.

The essential to understand

Cosmetic Skin Care: Key Reference Points

Understanding cosmetic skin care helps you choose your products wisely rather than randomly. This page brings together the essentials—care, face, women, skin—to connect these notions to your real skin, using a cosmetic, educational, and non-medical approach.

Quick Glossary

Care
Product or action intended to maintain the appearance and comfort of the skin: cleansing, moisturizing, protection.
Face
The most exposed and thinnest area of skin; it benefits from gentle care and daily sun protection.
Skin
The body's largest organ and primary interface with the outside world; its surface, the epidermis, plays a visible role in protection and comfort.
Serum
Concentrated, fluid treatment applied before cream to target a specific need (hydration, radiance, comfort).
Cream
Fundamental treatment that hydrates and protects the surface; it seals in previous steps of the routine.
Products
Cosmetic article (cleanser, serum, cream, etc.); its quality depends on its overall formula and tolerance, not just one active ingredient.
Routine
A coherent sequence of actions adapted to real skin; a simple and regular routine is better than accumulating products.
Wrinkles
Visible skin folds associated with age and loss of firmness; treatments help to manage their appearance, not erase them.
Mask
A targeted treatment left on for a specific purpose (hydration, radiance, comfort) according to current needs.
Aloe vera
Hydrating and soothing plant gel, valued for refreshing and providing an immediate feeling of comfort.
Moisturizing cream
A treatment that combines humectants, emollients, and sometimes occlusives to help the skin remain supple and comfortable.
Hyaluronic acid
A humectant capable of retaining a large amount of water; in cosmetics, it helps create a feeling of plumped and comfortable skin on the surface.
