What ceramides are
Ceramides are lipids naturally present in the outer layer of the skin, where they ensure cohesion between cells and retain water. They form the essential part of the skin barrier.

What vitamin E is

Its fat-soluble nature places it in the fatty fraction of the skin, where vitamin C cannot reach. It also provides surface comfort and helps stabilize oily formulations.
It is rarely found alone: vitamin E is incorporated into creams, serums, and vegetable oils, in small doses.

The question rarely arises
In fact, many ceramide creams also contain tocopherol — as an antioxidant and as a natural preservative for the fatty phase. The decision is then already made.
Simply check the ingredient list: ceramides should appear before preservatives, and tocopherol can appear at the end of the list without being a defect.
Using them together
There's nothing to prevent it, and it's even the most common situation. A ceramide cream, followed by a vegetable oil rich in tocopherol if your skin needs it.
